A client who had recently given birth a few months prior came to our clinic seeking a balanced enhancement for her lips. During the consultation, she confirmed that she was not breastfeeding, allowing us to safely proceed with the treatment. She had previously received lip fillers, which were dissolved two weeks prior, leaving her lips with a deflated appearance. While she appreciated a fuller look, she found the previous fillers to be excessively large.
To address her concerns and achieve the desired outcome, we performed the filler treatment in two stages. Initially, we administered 0.4ml of hyaluronic acid filler. After reviewing the results and confirming that she wanted a bit more volume, we proceeded with an additional 0.4ml, distributed evenly across the upper and lower lips. This staged approach allowed for a gradual enhancement, ensuring that the client was satisfied with each step.
The treatment successfully restored volume and hydration to her lips, resulting in a fuller yet natural appearance that met her preferences for a noticeable but not overly large enhancement.
This case highlights the importance of a personalized and staged approach, especially for postpartum clients, and demonstrates how hyaluronic acid fillers can be effectively used to achieve subtle, tailored enhancements that align with individual aesthetic goals.
